More than 200,000 energized citizens participated in 800+ protests held across the country, which included rallies in Hawaii and Alaska. Noted Stacy Mott, President of Smart Girl Politics, “Despite many inaccurate accounts in the media, this was a true grassroots effort carried out by average citizens, many of whom have not previously taken part in organized protests. Smart Girl Politics intends to harness the energy out there to encourage more women to participate in the political process.” SGP partnered with the DontGo Movement (www.dontgomovement.com), TCOT (www.topconservativesontwitter.org), and American Solutions (www.americansolutions.com) to sponsor yesterday’s nationwide protests.
