PHA Media has been appointed to handle the PR for American shock-jock, Michael Savage.

PHA Media has been appointed to handle the PR for American shock-jock, Michael Savage. Savage has been banned from entering the UK by Labour Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith who claims that he incites violence and hatred in-line with his ‘extremist’ views. The DJ was quickly slapped with a ban from entering the country and joins the likes of Jewish Militant Mike Guzovsky, Russian Skin-head gang leader Artur Ryno and American Baptist pastor Fred Waldron Phelps. Michael Savage was stunned by the Home Office decision and now plans to sue for defamation. PHA Media are working alongside Savage’s law team, Olswang LLP, who believe they have a strong case to over-turn the ban. Savage has never sought entry to the UK nor did he have any plans to visit. London Mayor Boris Johnson was staggered by Jacqui Smith’s decision and has spoken out in defence of the American DJ: “It is shocking that not a single MP has stood up to defend free speech”. Michael Savage, who until recently was relatively unknown in the UK, hosts The Savage Nation, which is the third most popular show in America.
