(Hong Kong) – As the new semester is around the corner, LensCrafters, the internationally renowned chain of the leading international eyewear company Luxottica Group, proudly presents the student eyeCARE service to educate the public on the importance of regular eye exams for students of all ages.
Earlier today, Lenscrafters launched a press conference themed ‘Perfect Your Vision with Students eyeCARE”. Ms. Miriam Yeung, the Celebrity Ambassador of LensCrafters was invited to share her youth experience on eye health, and stressing the message that eyeCARE is essential anywhere, anytime.
Ms. Singmay Chou, Vice President of Marketing & Product, Luxottica Retail Greater China was thrilled to witness a group of charismatic children singing and choreographing the themed LensCrafters’s eyeCARE performance at the début of today’s event. The well received début was encored by the children joining Miriam to perform her new latest song Mr. Right.
During the press conference, Ms. Chou chitchatted with Miriam about her heartfelt experience of being LensCrafters’ Celebrity Ambassador since April this year. Miriam expressed that it was such an enjoyable experience because she can be both fashionable and can gain professional eyeCARE knowledge by being a part of LensCrafters.
Mr. Peter Chung, Senior Professional Services Manager, Luxottica Retail shared two fundamental steps of students’ eye check to all guests. Miriam then undertook the color vision test and Maddox Wing test for the children and shared with them her eyeCARE tips.
To keep the delightful momentum rolling, LensCrafters surprisingly invited Mr. Stephen Yu, Miriam’s family optometrist to attend the event. Mr. Yu has decades of long history with Miriam’s family, starting from Miriam’s first prescription when she was in her early teens. Mr. Yu’s attendance was kept a secret until the moment Miriam saw him on stage. Not astonishingly, Miriam’s reaction was overwhelmed. After the event, she indicated that, “Mr. Yu takes care of us for years and he is just as caring as a family member! All of our precious eyes depend on him.” Mr. Yu, on behalf of LensCrafters, presented a pair of glasses to Miriam which resembled her first pair of glasses prescribed at LensCrafters. This was definitely a meaningful and memorable souvenir to both of them. It also symbolized Miriam’s continuous role in conveying the important message of eyeCARE to the public.
