Lines of water supply, sanitation, development of internal roads, disposal systems and stormwater construction of a boundary wall should be completed by 2009. Under the plan, the region will host several projects, like the city of knowledge, Kharkhauda City, World Trade Financial City, Media City, Biotech City, Cyber City, Sample City, badla City, Entertainment City, Leisure City, City Sohna, Mode City and a European-Tech Park. Once all the educational institutions, industries, SEZs, parks, retail malls, commercial buildings, hotels and markets should be operational in the next two years, there will be an increase in economic activities in the region. Apart from these, the government is also developing a National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) institute in the region. In all, the occupation of the region at present is 75%. Now the government plans to expand the township for the fifth phase, in which another 450 acres will be developed. TDI City: As industrial activities have resumed in the area, a number of private developers have entered the market to develop residential real estate in Kundl-Sonepat. Taneja Developers and Infrastructure (TDI) are the largest developers of Sonepat, who is developing a township on 1500 acres of land.
