So far visitors have enjoyed a guided group Paseo walk through Valencia’s most interesting paths and Friday nights of fun and music—and the celebration is only getting bigger and better!

Just when you thought Friday nights at the Summer Celebration couldn’t get more interesting, Awesometown has invited talented KFI radio host Tim Conway, Jr. to broadcast his show live during the Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series every Friday through August 27. Known for his thoughtful and logical opinions on today’s most entertaining topics, Tim’s down-to-earth take on life and his willingness to laugh at current events make this Los Angeles-born host’s live appearances highly anticipated events. Today, Valencia is hosting the Canines and Coffee get-together next to Lennar’s New Home Showplace. This pet-friendly event begins at 9:30am and gives Valencia residents a chance to meet and mingle with their neighbors and their pets while enjoying free coffee and donuts from S&S. As part of the festivities, a Frisbee® dog agility show will start at 10:00am.

Following the flying dogs and discs, attendees will be treated to “Pat and Chat” time with the star canines. Throughout the event, New Leash on Life Animal Rescue will be hosting a dog adoption. Valencia’s hosting a Movie in the Park, featuring the heartwarming film “Up!” This 2009 Best Picture nominee was a hit with viewers of all ages. Bring a picnic basket and blanket and dine under the stars, but be sure to come early to get the best spot. There will be pre-movie games for the kids, and the popcorn’s on us. So don’t miss the fun!

On Saturday, August 28, Valencia will be hosting the last event of the Summer Celebration. The event is still being kept under lock and key, but it will be a surprise Awesometown event you won’t want to miss!
