The University of West Florida Libraries include the John C. Pace Library, the primary facility on the main campus in Pensacola, the Emerald Coast Library, located in Fort Walton Beach, and the Curriculum Materials Library and the Music Library, which are also located on the main campus.
Housing more than 752,000 volumes, 1.2 million microforms, 5,100 serial subscriptions and providing access to thousands of full-text electronic journals, the library is also designated as a regional depository for publications of the United States government and the state of Florida.
Members of the library staff are available to assist in the use of all library materials and the expanding new information technology, including online catalogs and databases, the Internet, document delivery systems, and other computer-based reference sources.
Art installed in the library's grand staircase was created by Richard Heipp, a faculty member at the University of Florida. Heipp provides a description of this exhibit, entitled Symbols and Signs: "Tower of Esoteric Alchemy." Other works displayed throughout the library are on loan from the UWF Fine and Performing Arts Center's permanent collection.
