ATLANTA, GA – Claire Anderson, mother of 2 year-old first grader, Caleb Anderson and Michelle Brown-Stafford, mother of media sensation 14 year-old college sophomore, Stephen Stafford will kick off a riveting campaign on January 22, 2011 at Atlanta Metropolitan Christian Church from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. They have combined forces to present their philosophies, humorous anecdotes and inspired parental teaching strategies in a free workshop designed to promote a new kind of involvement in education! The informative and engaging workshops will include parents, teachers and various civic and community leaders.
Claire, who has a Master’s in Elementary Mathematics and Literacy, as well as an American Sign Language certification, founded Talk 2 Your Baby after successfully teaching her son Caleb Anderson to read and count by using sign language. At age two, Caleb is now enrolled in first grade at Shreiner Academy. In addition, after “extensive” proactive parental involvement from the preschool years, Michelle Brown-Stafford has managed to produce two successful early college enrollees…one of which entered college at age 11.
The Campaign’s focus will be on offering immediate "academic relief” in the home to children in much the same way the Stafford children and those of academic elite households receive support. All events are FREE and open to the public.
