Big Drug company has it in for the Small Guy

Solvay, the manufacturer of Androgel® testosterone gel, is on the warpath and has it's sights firmly on a small and upcoming competitor Lawley Pharmaceuticals.

There is another new player in the market manufacturing a topical testosterone treatment for men who suffer from low testosterone levels and Big Pharma doesn’t like the competition!! Lawley Pharmaceuticals from Australia, have stepped on Solvay Pharmaceuticals toes by highlighting the significant differences in cost, concentration and adsorption rates of their product Andromen® Forte 5% testosterone cream compared with Solvay's product Androgen 1% testosterone gel. Not the least of the differences is that the Lawley’s Andromen® Forte is applied to the scrotum whereas Solvay’s AndroGel® is applied over the upper body – a fact that has caused the FDA to issue Solvay with orders to make labelling changes due to serious safety concerns with transference of testosterone to children and partners. Recent medical publications have also highlighted that the Lawley product was adsorbed through the skin 7 times better than Solvay's product and due to the scrotal application transference is not an issue. Solvay can’t fight the FDA but can flex their might with Lawley Pharmaceuticals. Solvay has slapped a cease and desist order via it's lawyers on Lawley Pharmaceuticals. Refusing to be bullied by a multi-billion dollar foreign company Lawley Pharmceuticals have fought back by posting on a website (http://www.androgel.us) copies of the lawyers letters and presenting evidence of their case proving the differences between Andromen® Forte and AndroGel®.
