Lowrance has some new features coming out that will work with all their HDS model fish finders. The new features, due for release anytime now, will include: StructureScan, DownScan Imaging and TrackBack.

Lowrance has some new features coming out that will work with all their HDS model fish finders. The new features, due for release anytime now, will include: StructureScan™, DownScan Imaging™ and TrackBack™. StructureScan™ This function covers a 480 foot side-to-side view of what’s around your boat (see split screen left), showing you the details as to what is down there and where the fish are hiding. DownScan Imaginig™ This function covers everything under the boat, just like normal sonar does today, but it gives you the details in a 3-D view like nothing you have even seen (see split screen right). This allows you so see into the cover so find out what is really down in it. TrackBack™ The TrackBack™ function is what really ties this whole package together. Not only can you see in details of everything that is around you but you can also mark anything you find with a waypoint for a quick return, this is demoed in the video below. So if you see something you like, a rock, tree, stump, ect, just backup the graph and put a waypoint right there. Then the next time you’re out on the water you don’t have to spend the time looking for that sweet spot you found last time out, just dial it up on your GPS and run straight to the fish.
