New York, New York -- Following an almost three-week patent infringement  trial in federal court in Manhattan, a  jury found that all of Colorado Altitude Training LLC's ("CAT") tent and room systems for simulated altitude training infringed Hypoxico, Inc.'s patents, awarding Hypoxico more than four million dollars in damages.  The jury also found that CAT's founder and president, Lawrence Kutt, was personally liable with CAT for the infringement.  CAT had charged Hypoxico and its president, Gary Kotliar, with infringing a patent CAT had licensed from a Scandinavian company, but the jury found that patent had not been infringed. "This is a complete vindication of what we have been saying all along, that CAT ripped off our patented technology, and of course we are very pleased with this outcome" said Hypoxico's president and founder, Mr. Kotliar. Hypoxico and Mr. Kotliar were represented by Martin Pavane and Roger Thompson of Cohen Pontani Lieberman & Pavane LLP, a New York firm specializing in intellectual property law.
