Dr. Jacinta Aniagolu Joins Synowledge, LLC as Director, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management Stamford, Connecticut. August 3, 2009 — Jacinta Aniagolu, PhD, MSc, a Biomedical Research Scientist with over 17 years combined experience in biomedical/clinical research, and the pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries, has joined Synowledge, LLC as Director, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management. A specialist in Drug Safety, Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management, Dr.  Aniagolu has subject matter expertise in signal analysis of pre- and post- market data, including retrospective analyses of post-marketing spontaneous reports to decipher signal trends in legacy data. As a member of senior management at Synowledge, Dr. Aniagolu will contribute leadership, vision and strategic insight, in addition to direct services and technical oversight of all client drug safety, pharmacovigilance and risk management projects, and will also function as the technical lead for signal detection and evaluation projects. Dr. Aniagolu has a versatile and multi-disciplinary background in providing pharmacovigilance strategy development and operational oversight to the biomedical/clinical research, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. Her industry experience makes her a great match for Synowledge, with our unique focus on helping clients to ensure dynamic signal triaging, screening and evaluation of data, as well as overall regulatory risk assessment and risk minimization compliance to ensure continued safer delivery of drug products to patients. Dr. Aniagolu has extensive experience in adverse event signal detection and analyses under the larger umbrella of pharmacovigilance and risk management. She comes to Synowledge from Patni Life Sciences (formerly, Taratec Development Corporation), where she initially served as Principal Consultant/Solutions Architect and subsequently as Director of Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management, responsible for leading signal analysis and risk management efforts on various client projects, as well as both internal and external technical training on development of risk management documents and processes, and signal detection and evaluation. Prior to her tenure with Patni Life Sciences, Dr. Aniagolu served as Assistant Director of Drug Safety at a Maryland-based, Osaka-headquartered Japanese pharmaceutical company where she was the global project team lead for a signal analysis project. She was also instrumental in the conceptual design for the development of a novel signal detection and evaluation application. Dr Aniagolu has authored and published papers in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts for poster presentations, as well as presented papers at industry conferences and workshops, including the Drug Information Association. “I am excited about the opportunity to join the dynamic team at Synowledge, and to continue providing quality services to our highly valued clients.
