WHAT IS A TESTIMONIAL SOCCER GAME
The testimonial soccer match concept began in England to honor career athletes. Towards the end of an athlete’s career, he would be honored by supporters and outstanding athletes with an honorary match. Started when professional athletes were paid very little, proceeds historically helped the athlete with retirement or the launching of another profession.  In Chastain’s case, proceeds from her October 2nd testimonial match will support the Reach Up Foundation, designed to inspire ‘tween and teen girls and their mothers to make healthy choices and achieve their goals.
