The Golf Club at Ballantyne Hosts the Ballantyne Junior Open

The Ballantyne Junior Open will be hosted again this year by The Golf Club at Ballantyne on February 11-12, 2012. The Ballantyne Junior Open is a 36-hole stroke golf tournament directed by Marc Lapointe, Senior Instructor at Dana Rader Golf School.

One hundred twenty young golfers will tee it up at the Ballantyne Junior Open being hosted again this year by The Golf Club at Ballantyne on February 11-12, 2012. The Ballantyne Junior Open is a 36-hole stroke golf tournament directed by Marc Lapointe, Senior Instructor at Dana Rader Golf School.

Junior Golfers are flighted into four groups based on age and gender with boys age 13-14, boys age 15-18, girls age 13-14, and girls age 15-18 years old. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 10:00am on Saturday, February 11 and conclude with a final round on Sunday, February 12. The general public is welcome to observe. Admission is free.

The deadline for entries has closed and the final field will be posted online at
www.danarader.com/BallantyneJuniorOpen.cfm. The field was determined by the player’s performance in the 2011 Ballantyne Junior Open, state ranking, national ranking, scoring average, and special exemption by the tournament committee.
