In the midst of so much gloomy economic news, it’s good to see any bright spots.  New York Academics is certainly one of those bright spots- it’s poised to expand significantly in 2009. New York Academics has always prided itself on offering very high quality tutoring and that philosophy appears to be paying off, as the company has continued to see growth in demand.  For this reason, it is starting a hiring cycle and hopes to add 5-8 new positions in the next year. One of the upsides of the soft economy is that it is a great time to hire.  Applicants to New York Academics include many Ivy League graduates and a Fulbright Scholar.  For this tutoring agency at least, the future looks very bright. About New York Academics: New York Academics was founded in 2004 by Jessie Mathisen to provide full-service academic tutoring in Manhattan and portions of the outer boroughs.  It currently offers instruction in math, science, English, Spanish, and test preparation.
