Online Retailer Success with SEO

I encourage other out there who are sceptical about SEO companies to seek one offering realistic performance pricing. I can now vouch for the fact that Google optimisation is a great way to increase sales

As an online retailer, I have always taken an interest in Google search engine optimisation and different ways to get ongoing traffic to my website. My problem with all of these so called SEO companies is that I have never been able to work out which one is any good and what is a fair price. Recently I found one website www.rankfirst.com.au in Australia that offers performance based SEO deals that seemed fair to both the SEO Company and also my business. There were a variety of ways they offered to calculate performance, such as positions on Google for different keyphrases related to my business, increases in traffic volume to my site from Google or a percentage of sales created from Google organic traffic. There was a once off initial payment of $800, to cover their costs and I guess, let them know I was serious. From then on they have been proactive with my project and send me lots of reports about what they have been doing on my site and about their link building. The fact they are working on performance seems to keep them motivated about my website, because if they can’t get the rankings, they do not make any money. Compared to the reporting a friend receives about the SEO on his website from another company, they appear more enthused to succeed. One of the performance milestones I chose was to increase the conversion rate to over 1.5%. They have helped me make it easier for my visitors to buy and added some different logos to increase the trust factor I guess, when visitors think about buying or not. The conversion rate has almost doubled and passed that milestone, for which I was more than happy to pay for. Since beginning the work I have received a few tips from them about things I could include on my website not only to improve my rankings, but also make my site easier to use, which has been great. I understand that there are reservations from other SEO companies to introduce performance based pricing because they do not have one hundred percent control over what is happening on Google (or other search engines), but I just did not want to commit to paying fees for a service that is not guaranteed to work. Another option was to choose a company that offered refunds for non performance, but why should I pay and go through the hassle of asking for a refund, which I am sure they would be loathe to give, when it is possible to pay as I see a result completed. The company I chose also have a monthly payment option, which I would consider choosing after most of the performance measures currently in place are met. I am much happier to do this with a company once I have seen that they are capable of achieving what they say they can. So I encourage other out there who are sceptical about SEO companies to seek one offering realistic performance pricing. I can now vouch for the fact that Google optimisation is a great way to increase sales from e-commerce stores, and am glad with the choice I made to pay on performance.
