tebu-bios SilenciX cell lines presented at STS Meeting 2008 - Weimar

Dr. Ali el Bay (Sales Manager - tebu-bio Germany) will be presenting SilenciX at the forthcoming 12th STS Meeting 2008: Signal Transduction Receptors, Mediators and Genes, in Weimar (DE) from October 29th to 31st 2008.

SilenciX cell lines are target-specific silenced cells, produced as ready-to-use validated models, thus enabling researchers to focus on their experimental work without having to first construct the tools required for their studies. The innovative technology is based on non-viral transfections of non-integrative vectors. The episomal vectors are maintained tethered to the host chromosomes, at a very low copy number per cell. Guarantee of target-specific knock-down at RNA level is at least 70%, cell lines produced so far mostly show over 85% silencing. Design of shRNAs is powered by the new DSIR algorithm for the prediction of RNAi efficacy and off-target blast screening. The SilenciX technology allows long-term studies, consistent large cell supplies and high reproducibility in experiments, with no additional stress related to cell transfections, making it a reliable tool for target validation and drug discoveries in Life Sciences. Dr Ali el BayĆ¢ of tebu-bio (co-sponsors of the meeting) will be presenting SilenciX on Wednesday October 29th.
