Per Cazo Cellars-New Winery in Paso Robles, California

Paso Robles, CA Dave and Lynne Teckman announce the opening of Per Cazo Cellars in Paso Robles, CA. The name Per Cazo is a derivation of the Italian phrase meaning by chance.

Fourteen months ago, the Teckmans decided to explore the Central Coast of California to experience the wine region that has been receiving much acclaim in the wine world. Having spent extensive time traveling the usual wine regions – Napa, Sonoma, Willamette Valley, Bordeaux, Tuscany, they were eager to visit this trendy area that is getting a lot of attention. The very first stop was Carina Cellars in Los Olivos where they sampled great wine and met the winemaker, Joey Tensley.  Two weeks later, a good friend in the wine business introduced Dave Teckman to David Hardee, the owner of Carina Cellars.  Over dinner, the foundation of both a friendship and business arrangement was established and Hardee agreed to help the Teckmans launch their wine enterprise. Barrels were ordered, contracts for grapes signed and dream of becoming vintners was a reality.  Today, Per Cazo Cellars has bottled 220 cases of their white Rhone blend appropriately named Tres Blanc for its well-balanced blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and Viognier grape varietals. The red wines are aging in their barrels and will be bottled in the fall. Per Cazo Cellars is a winery by chance, producing fine wines by choice. Good fortune led them to the Central Coast; good winemaking will keep them here.
