Transcription and report-writing company Global Lingo is to create 50 new jobs to support its growth over the next six months.

Transcription and report-writing company Global Lingo is to create 50 new jobs to support its growth over the next six months. In establishing a centre of excellence to train new writers, 40 of the positions will be at entry level for recent graduates. The remaining 10 staff will be recruited for support positions in the company’s Mayfair headquarters. The firm is looking to expand as a result of securing several high-profile contracts, including providing transcription services to the Prime Minister’s Office and professional minute-taking services for financial institutions. Andrew Trotter, managing director of Global Lingo, said the company had no hesitation investing during the downturn as it was confident that its market-leading services were valued by its clients. He explained, ‘Our ideal candidates are graduates who are looking for a first job, and we can offer them extensive training in how to write accurately and concisely.’ Becky Greene, who completed a Masters degree in 2008, is one recent recruit.
