The Literary/Political Philosophy of Wole Soyinka

The Literary/Political Philosophy of Wole Soyinka will be released in May 2009.

The Literary/Political Philosophy of Wole Soyinka is the chronology of the literary and political savvies of Wole Soyinka. His literary and political savvies reached the acme in 1986 when he became the first African in Africa and African in Diaspora to be awarded Nobel Prize in Literature. From the Yoruba/African perspective, Wole Soyinka is the "Bringer of Light" and each chapter in the book is an indelible mark of enlightenment into the two main areas of the Yoruba quintessence--literature and philosophy. Each chapter enlightens, for any lore that enlightens or widens people's horizons and presents food for thought is the beginning of philosophy. Writing from the philosophical point of view, the author, Yemi D. Ogunyemi/Yemi D. Prince is a literary philosopher whose novel voice goes beyond the ordinary, as he discovers new territories and discards unwanted cliches.
